♥ Information ♥

This Pegasus is taken sometime after the ending of Duel Monsters and near the beginning of GX. Basically, after his eye was stolen, he spent the better part of a year going in and out of the hospital for the damages he sustained -- both physical and mental. He's been told that he technically died twice during the initial surgery.

Not long after he was admitted, Industrial Illusions posted a statement on their website that he would be on an "indefinite hiatus". This "hiatus" eventually turned into an early retirement, both because of how badly he felt that he had disgraced his own game, and in order to focus more on his side-projects. These include merchandising, making new cards and helping to train younger duelists.

Well, and bothering Kaiba. That's sort of his hobby.

A few points about him in bullet form:

♥ He has fully changed and is absolutely no threat to anyone. On the contrary, he wants to do everything he can to make up for what he's done to as many people as possible and will spare absolutely no expense in doing so.

♥ He does, indeed, take in orphans and train the ones that want to become duelists, but he only actually adopted Yakou and Gekkou.

♥ The eye is most definitely gone, and he refuses a prosthesis. He does, however, cover it when he goes out to places that may move his hair (amusement parks and the like). Most of the time he wears a skin-toned bandage over it, but he's done the eyepatch thing once or twice for costume functions. When he does wear bandages, if he's spending most of the day in the office, he'll have something drawn on it (a cute anime winking eye, a big sparkly cartoon eye, "Out of order" written in sharpie -- this sort of thing).

♥ Because of his extended leave of absence, he's decidedly out of the loop about things like Duel Academy. He loves loves loves the idea, but if he meets anyone from there he'll likely have no idea who they are. The teachers have a better chance at being recognized, but only marginally.

♥ He also um, kind of sort of had a giant meltdown when he found out that he was going to live, so he's had his share of therapy. Fortunately, between that and actually being able to see/think clearly, he's made a great recovery. He still has his moments of depression, but they are very few and far between.

♥ He loves Bob Ross. I'm actually fairly sure he's what made him want to paint in the first place.

♥ He will seriously talk all day about cartoons if you let him. Seriously. He loves old 90s cartoons and there are even some recent ones that he totally adores. He is greatly passionate about his outrage at the lack of Saturday morning cartoons and probably will not shut up about that, either, if he gets started.

♥ It's been long enough now that he doesn't hold any real hostility toward Bakura for taking his eye. In fact, he considers it more a blessing than anything.

♥ He owns Funny Bunny footie pajamas. Ohh, yes he does.
